ALL ABOUT ME

Bette. Teenager. Britain. Aspiring actress and classic film geek. Since I started my blog my tastes have broadened as I've found out about more genres of films and different directors and actors. Cate Blanchett in that interview pretty much sums me up. I also love old theatre stories and theatre in general so that might creep into some posts!

Mainly what you'll see on this blog is reviews of films, I mainly classify classic film to be 1920-1980. So anything from Grand Hotel (1932) to The Way We Were (1973) might crop up! I love lots of people but at the moment my favourite actor is Laurence Olivier, I also love Cary Grant, Gregory Peck, James Stewart, Humphrey Bogart etc... In terms of actresses, I have an elite 5, Ingrid Bergman, Katharine Hepburn, Bette Davis, Greer Garson and Vivien Leigh/Myrna Loy.

I love musicals so I hope you're not musical averse, because I post about them a fair amount. "THE HIIIIIILLLLLSSS ARREEE ALIIVVVEEEE"

Have fun browsing!

Bette

Seattle International Film Festival / Easton's Article: It's 1997, and 40-year-old Easton Denning has been obsessively tracking the growth of the 'world wide web' phenomenon since its establishment. It isn't until Easton stumbles across a disturbing omen in the form of his future obituary buried within the information landscape that he is forced to confront his life choices in order to try and save himself from a mysterious death. Fusing sparse science fiction elements with a tension driven drama, 'Easton's Article' is sure to keep you guessing until the end! Check it out at http://www.eastonsarticle.com/trailer.php

Hi Bette

Nice blog - I've subscribed! And some of your favourites are my favourites too. On my blog 'The Good, the Bad and the Italian' I cannot resist referring to classic films among the food, family and fun anecdotes.

What a wonderful thing is the Internet. The Colonel had all but deserted his blog and then got drawn back in via somebody else's and then followed the trail here, where I'm loving it.
Meanwhile, the boys from my platoon have been wasting their time with their musical oldies channel on YouTube. Explore privatefender, it may be up your street.

I too am a teenager in Britain and am so delighted to find that there others who appreciate the classics. Imagine if you will a classic films enthusiast like myself with my peers at the cinema trying to make them watch roman holiday with Audrey Hepburn. I almost lost my temper several times. Luckily for them no one can resist a gentleman like Gregory peck. Enjoy your geekiness as I do and "...have confidence in sunshine, (I) have confidence in rain,...."you get the idea. Just keep singing musicals!
